By using any AIjia product, app, or website, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use and contact us to request deletion of any data already collected.

We use the data we collect for the following purposes only:

• To operate and deliver the AIjia companion experience — conversations, stories, translation, and guidance
• To process Smart Camera Discovery images and generate personalized stories in real time
• To deliver medicine and wellness reminders through the Smart Pillow caregiver feature
• To enable family and emergency calling features through the Smart Pillow app
• To save and apply your personal preferences for a more tailored experience over time
• To monitor for safety — including content filter performance and unusual interaction patterns
• To provide customer support and respond to requests
• To improve AIjia products and services through anonymized, aggregated usage analysis
• To comply with our legal obligations under applicable law

🍎 Children's Privacy

AIjia takes the privacy and safety of children with the highest possible seriousness. Where a child under the age of 13 will use the product, the following rules apply.

COPPA Compliance (USA)

AIjia complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). For users under 13 in the United States:

• We require verifiable parental consent before collecting any personal data from a child under 13
• Parents may review all data collected from their child at any time through the AIjia app
• Parents may request deletion of their child's data at any time — including voice recordings and camera images
• We do not collect more data from children than is necessary to operate the companion experience
• Parental controls are available to restrict content, set time limits, and manage all features

Voice Recordings and Camera Images

The AIjia Smart Plush collects voice recordings during conversations and camera images when Smart Camera Discovery is used. These are processed to deliver the companion experience — not used for advertising, sold to third parties, or used to build profiles of children.

• Voice recordings are processed and not stored permanently unless required for feature delivery
• Camera images are processed in real time to identify objects and generate a story, then are not retained
• Parents can view conversation summaries and delete all child data through the AIjia app

🎙️ Personalized Voice Mode — Consent Requirements

The AIjia Smart Plush and AIjia Smart Pillow offer an optional Personalized Voice Mode, where AIjia can speak in the voice of a loved one. This feature requires and operates under the following strict conditions:

• Explicit consent is required from all parties — both the person whose voice is being used and the account holder must provide consent before activation
• The setup is completed step by step through the AIjia app with full consent confirmation at each stage
• Voice recordings used for this feature are stored securely and used only for the personalized voice mode on the registered device
• The feature can be turned off at any time through the AIjia app
• Voice recordings used for this feature can be deleted at any time through the app

👥 Data Sharing

AIjia does not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

• AI technology partners: Voice and conversation data is transmitted to our AI platform partners to process responses. They are contractually required to protect your data and use it only to deliver the AIjia service.
• App infrastructure providers: Trusted cloud and app service providers process data on our behalf under strict data protection agreements.
• Legal requirements: We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or regulatory authority.
• Business transfers: In the event of a merger or acquisition, users will be notified and given the opportunity to delete their data before any transfer takes effect.

AIjia honors these rights for all users globally, regardless of local law requirements.

🕐 Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as it is needed to deliver the AIjia experience and comply with legal obligations.

• Voice recordings from standard conversations are processed and not retained permanently beyond what is required to deliver the session
• Camera images from Smart Camera Discovery are processed in real time and not stored after story generation
• App account and preference data is retained for as long as your account remains active
• Voice recordings for Personalized Voice Mode are retained only while the feature is active and deleted immediately upon deactivation or account deletion
• Caregiver and trusted contact information is retained for as long as configured and deleted upon account deletion or manual removal

When you delete your account, we will permanently delete all associated personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

🔐 Security

AIjia implements technical and organizational measures designed to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration.

• Data transmitted between AIjia devices and our servers is encrypted in transit
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel who need it to deliver AIjia services
• Our AI and app infrastructure partners are held to strict security standards through contractual agreements
• We conduct regular reviews of our data security practices

🌍 International Users

Your data may be processed in countries outside your own, including China, where Guangdong AIjia Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. is headquartered. By using AIjia products, you consent to this international transfer.

• USA: We comply with the FTC Act (Section 5), COPPA, and applicable state privacy laws including CCPA where applicable
• European Union: We respect the principles of the EU GDPR and the EU Consumer Rights Directive. EU users have full rights to access, deletion, portability, and objection

• Notify registered app users through the AIjia app
