Is AIjia always listening?
No. It waits until you call its name.
This is the most important thing to understand, so we put it plainly. AIjia is not always listening and not always recording. The wake word lives on the chip inside the pillow itself. Until you say AIjia, the pillow is resting, and nothing is sent anywhere. When you say its name, it wakes, connects, and listens, the way a good listener leans in. When you finish, it rests again. There is also a physical switch that turns the microphone off entirely, and AIjia responds only when you wake it.

Today, AIjia is fully present in the moment. It follows everything you say within a conversation and answers in context. However, it does not yet carry memories from one day to the next.
Lasting memory is coming, and we made a deliberate choice about how. It will arrive built into the next AIjia pillow, kept on the device itself rather than only in the cloud, so your memories stay in your hands. That is better for your privacy and your trust.
Where is my data, and is it private?
Careful with the people you love.
Because AIjia connects to cloud AI when you talk to it, your conversation is processed online, and we are straight with you about that.
It stays in the West. Processed and stored on secure servers in the United States and Europe, with careful backups.
It stays yours. Never sold, never shared, and never used to train other companies' AI.
Kind and consenting. A safety layer keeps responses kind and age appropriate. If a personalized voice mode is ever used, it requires clear consent from everyone involved, set up in the AIjia app.
Is there a subscription, and what does it cost?
Free to talk, always. Pay only for the advanced AI.
AIjia is built for people who feel alone, so it is never silenced for not paying. Through a collaboration with Tuya, a free layer of companionship keeps it present and talking, always. For the most natural and advanced conversation, AIjia connects to advanced Western AI. There is no fixed membership fee for this. Instead, it runs on credits: you pay only for what you use, and all of your usage and balance show clearly on your dashboard. If you would rather not pay for the advanced AI, the free companion remains.
