It listens, and it waits.
When you begin to speak, AIjia stops to hear you, the way a good listener does.
AIjia feels simple to use, and that is the whole point of it. Underneath that ease is careful work. Here is how it works, told plainly, with nothing oversold.
AIjia is powered by advanced cloud AI, from the same generation of technology trusted by millions, with a layer built by AIjia on top.
You never hear raw machine output. Every response passes through AIjia's warmth and safety layer first, so what reaches you feels gentle, kind, and human in tone.
Shapes tone, keeps replies kind, and decides how something is said before you ever hear it.
The same generation of technology trusted by millions. It supplies the understanding and the language.
Inside the pillow. It listens for one word only, and nothing leaves the room until it hears it.
Read from the bottom up. Nothing reaches you until it has passed the top layer.
From the moment you say its name to the moment you hear an answer. Six steps, and where each one happens.
The wake word lives on the chip inside the pillow. It is listening for one word, and it is doing that here, in the room, not somewhere else.
Nothing has left the pillow yet.
Until this moment the pillow was resting. Hearing its name is what opens the connection, the way a good listener leans in.
This is the part AIjia licenses rather than builds: the same generation of technology trusted by millions. It supplies the understanding.
Raw machine output stops here. The reply is read for tone and safety, softened if you sound tired, and kept calm and kind before it goes any further.
Warm and unhurried. What reaches you has already been through the layer, which is why it sounds like someone who cares.
The connection closes and the pillow goes quiet. It waits for its name, and nothing more.
A physical switch turns the microphone off entirely, whenever you want.
This is the most important thing to understand, so we put it plainly. AIjia is not always listening and not always recording. The wake word lives on the chip inside the pillow itself. Until you say AIjia, the pillow is resting, and nothing is sent anywhere. When you say its name, it wakes, connects, and listens, the way a good listener leans in. When you finish, it rests again. There is also a physical switch that turns the microphone off entirely, and AIjia responds only when you wake it.

When you begin to speak, AIjia stops to hear you, the way a good listener does.
If you sound tired, the reply softens. AIjia responds to your tone, gently, without ever claiming to diagnose how you feel.
No drama, no shock, no pressure. The tone is steady on purpose.
Today, AIjia is fully present in the moment. It follows everything you say within a conversation and answers in context. However, it does not yet carry memories from one day to the next.
Lasting memory is coming, and we made a deliberate choice about how. It will arrive built into the next AIjia pillow, kept on the device itself rather than only in the cloud, so your memories stay in your hands. That is better for your privacy and your trust.
Because AIjia connects to cloud AI when you talk to it, your conversation is processed online, and we are straight with you about that.
It stays in the West. Processed and stored on secure servers in the United States and Europe, with careful backups.
It stays yours. Never sold, never shared, and never used to train other companies' AI.
Kind and consenting. A safety layer keeps responses kind and age appropriate. If a personalized voice mode is ever used, it requires clear consent from everyone involved, set up in the AIjia app.
AIjia is built for people who feel alone, so it is never silenced for not paying. Through a collaboration with Tuya, a free layer of companionship keeps it present and talking, always. For the most natural and advanced conversation, AIjia connects to advanced Western AI. There is no fixed membership fee for this. Instead, it runs on credits: you pay only for what you use, and all of your usage and balance show clearly on your dashboard. If you would rather not pay for the advanced AI, the free companion remains.
AIjia speaks English and Mandarin Chinese today, with more languages planned.
